n the village of Merklín there is a swimming pool with flowing water, a bicycle path, tennis courts, a volleyball court, a beach volleyball court, an artificial turf field for small football, tennis, basketball or handball. For winter sports there is a ski lift with night skiing. There are marked and groomed cross-country skiing trails along the ridges of the Ore Mountains. 15 km north is the mountain resort of Boží Dar, which has winter conditions for demanding skiers. In Merklín, as well as in Boží Dar, ski courses for children and adults are held in the winter months.

Mountain nature trail - Merklín. You can take a trip on the trail, which will offer you a lot of experiences and adventures in the magical environment of the so-called Kaffa Mountains. You will discover mysterious ruins of extinct settlements, enjoy panoramic views of the mountains and hills, cross mountain meadows and quiet forest corners - the most interesting places are marked with information boards. The border crossing to Germany at Boží Dar and the new border crossing Potůčky-Johanngeorgenstadt are accessible from Merklín.
